Innsbruck & Arrival in Venice

Starting by about 8am, we headed off to Innsbruck this morning. It was a surprisingly pleasant day, which was much needed after the past few days of suffering from the apparently highest days ever recorded in Germany. We finally arrived at Innsbruck in time for lunch and were given a few hours to explore! Half of us decided to tour an old church with history of a deceased king, and the others went to the Swarovski crystal museum. They were both extremely fun for everyone. Then we had the remaining hours to try the much awaited strudel and schnitzel, and shop around for souvenirs. If you walked to the bridge on the river, you were also able to capture the breathtaking view of the Alps behind the city.

After visiting Innsbruck, our group had a four hour bus ride to Italy which actually ended up being a lot of bonding time. From playing games planning each others futures, to telling terrible stories, and sharing food and music, time seemed to fly and we have arrived in Italy by taking pictures of the landscapes along the way! We had a two course meal for dinner, of course starting with pasta. And finally, after getting settled in the hotel, we walked around the streets to the center square before heading to bed. Buona notte!

A message from Ms. Gerber, Mr. Hannigan, and Ms. Breuer:
We truly want to thank all the parents for sending some amazing young adults on this trip.  We have truly enjoyed getting to know each and every one of them.  They impress us and our tour guides every day with thei interest, kindness, and openness to new experiences.  We are looking forward to another great week with your sons and daughters!
